About Me

Wild Woman

(n) A woman who has reclaimed her birth rite as an emotional and powerful being. A woman who does not conform to societies expectations of her gender, but dances to the beat of her own drum. She is sensitive and soft, fierce and honest. A truth seeker, wisdom carrier, and messenger of her ancestors.

Welcome to my blog, UnRooted Artist.
I don’t know how you found my online Home, but I’m glad you’re here.

If you’re anything like me, you love the greenery of the outdoors, the scent of salt from the ocean and the touch of crystals in your pocket. You probably find magic in the ordinary things because to you, they are anything but, and I bet you love Mama Earth as much I do. You find peace in the inhale of meditation and release in the exhale, and find yourself lost in the forest.
You’ve also probably experienced trauma and weak moments, felt lost and adrift at sea.

I’ve been there too. I’m still wading back to shore with my heart in my hands.

My name is Nicia and I’m an artist. I was born and raised in California and moved to Connecticut three years ago with my husband. After leaving my home state and spending the last couple years on a foreign coast, I realized Home is really a state of mind. Connecticut isn’t my home, but California has grown and changed so much that it doesn’t feel like home anymore either. I’ve always been a wanderer and I’m doing everything I can to figure out what and where Home really is for me.

This blog is a collection of my experiences and travels. I’m a nomad at heart, a Wild Woman and a bohemian. I buy local, I don’t eat meat and I soak up as much knowledge about Spirituality as I possibly can. I’m a firm believer in meditation and mindfulness, as well the power of manifestation.

I hope you stick around, I think we might get on. If you need me, I’ll be in the garden.
